Kaiko Partners With Frankfurt School’s Centre for Digital Economics (C4DE)

Collaboration will advance academic research, knowledge exchange and institutional understanding of digital asset markets.

Kaiko, the global leader in digital asset market data, analytics, and data infrastructure, and the Centre for Digital Economics (C4DE) at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management have announced a strategic partnership. The collaboration deepens a relationship that began in 2022, when Kaiko first partnered with the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center (FSBC), which was renamed to Centre for Digital Economics (C4DE) in early 2026 to reflect its expanded mandate across the digital economy.

C4DE is an interdisciplinary research centre dedicated to understanding and shaping the infrastructure of the digital economy and the digital financial system. Led by Professor Co-Pierre Georg, the centre brings together academic research, engineering capabilities, and policy engagement across blockchain, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing, with a particular focus on how these technologies are applied in financial services. C4DE works closely with policymakers, industry participants, and startups, and maintains a portfolio of educational programs for students and executives.

Through the partnership, Kaiko and C4DE will collaborate on research initiatives, knowledge-sharing programs and contributions to industry dialogue on digital asset markets. Joint activities may include research publications, participation in academic and industry events, and the development of educational content for researchers, financial professionals and policymakers. The collaboration combines Kaiko’s institutional-grade market data and data infrastructure with C4DE’s academic expertise, applied research capabilities and policy network, with the shared goal of advancing the understanding of digital asset markets across academia, industry and regulation.

“Sound research and sound policy depend on trustworthy data, and that is what Kaiko has built for digital asset markets over the past decade. We are proud to formalize a collaboration with the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management Centre for Digital Economics (FS-C4DE), which is uniquely positioned in Europe, bringing academic research, regulators, and industry together. Our partnership puts Kaiko’s data and infrastructure at the service of their important mission,” said Philippe Redaelli, Managing Director Strategic Initiatives, Kaiko.

“As digital asset markets become increasingly integrated into the broader financial system, the data available to researchers, policymakers, and institutions will shape how that integration unfolds. At C4DE, we sit at that intersection – bringing together academic rigor, applied research and policy engagement. Kaiko has been at the center of this market for over a decade, and we are excited to formalize and further deepen a partnership that gives our extensive research community access to that depth of expertise and superior data infrastructure,” said Professor Co-Pierre Georg, the Director of the Frankfurt School Centre for Digital Economics.

Kaiko has been embedded in the digital asset ecosystem since 2014, providing real-time and historical data feeds across more than 200 centralized and decentralized exchanges. The company’s products, including Kaiko Reference Rates, Kaiko Multi-Asset Indices, and Kaiko Fair Market Value, are used by financial institutions, exchanges, and regulators worldwide. Kaiko’s BMR-regulated reference rates and indices provide the pricing foundation for exchange-traded products, derivatives, and portfolio management across global markets.

This partnership adds to Kaiko’s growing network of industry and academic collaborations across Europe, alongside its memberships in organizations such as Adan, ISDA, and ICMA, and its participation in Paris Europlace.
